Check out this vibrant new edition of the Nike Vapor IX that has been released as part of the Spring 2014 collection and a special “Fast Forward” series. Officially listed as a?Neo Lime/Metallic Silver/Polarized Blue, this release is about as distinct as I’ve seen in a while, the combo of colors is very unusual and definitely stands out. Yes, this is a colorway that has a perfect blend to light up soccer pitches through Winter and into Spring.
Neo Lime on the forefoot gently blends into a Polarized Blue toward the heel, with a Sunburst Red color used to detail the upper. The swoosh looks very sharp while there is an extremely unusual edition on the outer heel. Nike has added 98M, their way of paying homage to the year the first Mercurial Vapor was released. It seems like they want people to remember that their release of the original Vapor was cutting edge and paved the way for other companies to take on the lightweight, speed market! There is more to come from the Fast Forward series and we are excited to see its progression.

Speed Control Texture Upper
Engineered with a completely new type of Synthetic upper that is designed to be soft and provide players with a high level of grip on the ball. We have all been wondering what the dimples are all about and it is definitely the most significant part of the boot visually. Nike are calling it a Speed Control texture that is designed to enhance friction and control on the ball without minimizing soft touch. An anatomical last sculpted to the natural shape of the foot should provide a wider variety of players with a comfortable fit.
